Angela’s Laundry Room

Today I want to show you an adorable, and believe it or not inviting, laundry room.  This amazing laundry room belongs to my friend, Angela.  And let me tell you, not one detail was overlooked.

This doesn’t look like the entrance to any laundry room that I’ve ever seen!

I just love the harlequin wallpaper that Angela added.  Instead of just adding a plain ole rod for hanging clothes, Angela used a pretty curtain rod with finials.

Here’s a closer look at the wall arrangement above the little chest.

Even her washer and dryer are gorgeous.  They are the jewelry for the room.

Angela replaced the utility cabinets that were originally in this room with these much nicer oak cabinets and added decorative hardware.  I didn’t get a picture, but crown moulding was added to the tops of the cabinets.  The cubbies under the cabinets are actually shoe holders from the closet section at Lowes.

This cute rooster mailbox resides atop the cabinets hanging above the washer/dryer.  Can’t leave out the roo.  They’re like bunnies, you can never have too many!

I’ll end with the view looking back toward the kitchen.

I hope you enjoyed this mini tour of Angela’s cheery laundry room.  Maybe my laundry wouldn’t feel like such a chore if I had a room like this!

In case you missed it, you can see more of Angela’s house here.

Thanks for sharing! It is Beautiful! Would love to have a room like that.

  2. Adorable room! Thank’s, Suzy, for sharing. Got a ton of ideas for trying to make my laundry room a bit more room-like & less walk-thru…..lol!

  3. Well Suzy, that settles that. I will never show the rest of MY laundry room. I could move my bed in here and sleep. This is so beautiful. It would make you do the laundry quickly, wouldn’t want any dirty clothes lying around this pretty room. Love the wallpaper and the roo, well he is the cock of the walk.
    Thanks for sharing,
    Blessings

  4. Love the idea with the shoe cubbies. I was just contemplating how to get shelves in that area. Thanks again.

  5. Oh I LOVE the harlequin wallpaper and how she wallpapered only about 1/3 of the way up and added a border on the adjacent wall….Great job Angela! My hubby would be knocking everything off those lovely shelves though (like a bull in a china closet)…guess I’m lucky he still does his own laundry!!!

  6. WOW! That is one NICE laundry room!!! LOVE the RED W and D!!!! Love the “shoe cubbies” too, genius! WHEN I get a new washer and dryer I may copy this idea, I already have the cabinets. Love the DECOR!!! One question: does she have a place to iron? Where is the ironing board? Thanks!!!! XO, Pinky

    1. Hi Pinky. That’s a great question! Angela said that she uses a pull-down ironing board that’s located in the closet in her master bedroom.

Wow..beautiful laundry room…Yes, my philosophy, make a room that you spend time in that is a not so pleasant task, feel beautiful, so that your daily “chore” isn’t so bad..well sometimes!..Thanks for sharing her very inviting laundry room.

  8. Oh my my my!!! So beautiful. Funny, I took pics of my “before” washroom today. I plan to make some improvements in there. I love the curtain rod idea for hanging laundry. That room is really gorgeous. I doubt mine will look like that (with 4 children 🙂

Hello Ladies! Thank you so much for all your wonderful compliments! I wish I had the before pictures of the room b4, because it’s one of our best transformations! It had the old “white” pressed board cabinets..they have a new home in my hubbies man cave “aka..the garage”! The shoe cubbies actually help hide the electrical plug and water drain…I’m OCD and hate things like that ruining my decor 🙂

  10. It is a gorgeous room to do laundry in! Love the colors and accent furniture she used. Clever rod for the clothes and cubby holes above the washer and dryer.
    She did a great job!

    1. Hi Kelly. Angela purchased the wallpaper at a local store called SmartnUp. It’s been a while back so she doesn’t remember the brand or the pattern name. Maybe someone at your local wallpaper place would recognize it if you showed them a picture of it. Sorry I couldn’t help you more!

What a lovely laundry room! Mine is in the basement since we live in an 80 year old brick home. If I could have a laundry room, it would look like Angela’s. I love Diva Dog and Ferocious Guard Dog in the above post. Thanks for stopping by!

That’s a wonderful room, Suzy. I love how you almost don’t even notice the washer and dryer because there are so many pretty things that draw your attention instead. Angela makes me look bad since I have clothes baskets full of clothes in my laundry room right now. Oh well, at least they are clean if that gives me any points! Hee hee.

Thanks for sharing this at my party this week, and thanks for coming every week like you do!

  13. Oh my word, this is totally unbelievable. I love it all. What a fabulous laundryroom. Wow. Thanks tons for the tour and for joining TTT. Hugs, marty

What a beautiful laundry room! Mine is in the dungeon as I call it-I would never share pictures! The wallpaper is just perfect, really the whole room is just so cheerful.

  15. How beautiful!! Beautiful is not normally a word we use to describe a laundry room, you know. I especially love the bold red appliances. They make such a statement.

  16. I think this is the prettiest laundry room I have EVER seen, my goodness! I can’t wait to see the other posts of Angela’s home! I found you at a creative princess!
