6 Last Minute DIY Christmas Ornaments
ENJOY THIS LOOK AT OUR CHRISTMAS TREE FROM THE BASEMENT OF OUR FORMER HOME!
There once was a girl who needed inexpensive Christmas ornaments {in a flash} for her Christmas tree.
You see, she had never decorated a tree for her basement family room before and her mantra this year was “Don’t spend a lot.”
So off to the craft store she went in search of DIY ornament inspiration. And she knew just what she would do when she came across pre-cut wooden shapes.
If you know the girl in this story at all, then you know that she’s all about easy when it comes to crafting.
These Christmas tree ornaments were so fast and so easy and so fun to make! They were great for helping to fill the new tree in my basement family room.
You can make these in a flash with just a few simple supplies that you can order from Amazon or pickup from your local craft store.
SUPPLIES NEEDED:
Pre-cut Wooden Shapes
PRE-CUT CHRISTMAS ORNAMENT SHAPES
PRE-CUT RECTANGLES
Craft Paint
MOD PODGE
Printables – See below for a link to them.
Drill with a bit
JUTE TWINE or BAKER’S TWINE
DIRECTIONS:
Paint the wooden cut-outs (or you can leave them natural if you prefer). Depending upon the printable, I used green, off-white and black paint.
Print the printables and cut the shape out.
After the paint has dried completely, follow the manufacturer’s directions for adhering the printout to the wood shape with the Mod Podge.
Allow to dry thoroughly.
Following the manufacturer’s directions, add a second coat of Mod Podge over the printable that has been applied to the wood cut out.
Allow to dry thoroughly before handling.
Drill a hole in each side near the top to thread the twine through to create a hanger.
Done! Bam!
