Where have you been all of my life cool little machine?!? That was my reaction when I first started using the Shark Rocket vacuum cleaner that was sent to me for review.
As y’all know, I’ve recently moved to a new {to us} house where a kitchen and master bath reno are still underway. As you can imagine, construction dust and bits of debris are a nonstop problem. I knew that keeping the hardwood floors cleaned up was going to be tough. My full size upright vacuum doesn’t do a very good job of vacuuming hardwood, tile or linoleum floors. It mainly just spits the dirt out the back.
So I was tickled pink when I was offered the chance to try out a Shark Rocket. This guy is supposed to work well on hardwood floors. And I can tell you that it does a great job!
See how the head of the vacuum cleaner is at an angle? That’s one of the really cool things about the Shark Rocket. The head swivels in all sorts of ways to get into the most awkward of spaces.
In a tight space under cabinets…
…even back in the corner, under the shelf, in a closet.
It has a gentle setting that allows you to clean small area rugs without sucking them up.
I was surprised at how powerful the suction was on the wall-to-wall carpeting setting. I can honestly say that it was as good or better than my full size vacuum cleaner.
There are lots of different attachments that switch out as easily as pressing a button on the wand and clicking the different attachment into place.
When you’re finished, simply wrap the generously long cord around the tabs and store it in a small closest or cabinet. It doesn’t take up much space at all.
I give this product a two thumbs up for sure. And won’t dread vacuuming anymore now I don’t have to lug out my big, heavy machine. What a snap last minute cleanup before company comes during the holidays is going to be!
The Shark Rocket is available online and at many major retailers.

I bought this based on your recommendation. I have been looking to replace my old Dyson which is way too heavy to lug upstairs for the carpets and doesn’t do a great job on any of my hard floors. I am happy with the Rocket, especially at the low Target price. I would say that the weight is both a pro and a con. Easy to transport, but also so light that it seems almost self-propelled. That makes it hard on the wrist trying to control it. Easy to empty and take apart for different tasks. Seems like a winner after a couple of days; thanks for getting me to finally commit ☺

Hi Janet. I’m so, so happy to hear that you purchased the Rocket and that you are happy with it! I was surprised when I first used it on carpet because, you’re right, it did feel like it was self-propelled. I wondered if it was because it has such good suction. And like you, I like how easy it is to take it apart to change out accessories.
