Weekly Wednesday Wishlist #235
Welcome to this week’s edition of the Weekly Wednesday Wishlist. As Christmas draws closer, I have been paying attention to the little touches that make a home feel warm, intentional, and beautifully gathered for the season. A spool of ribbon on the counter, a favorite scent in the air, or a quiet evening spent wrapping gifts by hand can bring such simple joy this time of year.
This week’s list is full of easy ideas to help your home feel festive without adding fuss. You will find a clever way to tie your holiday decorating together with ribbon, a simple trick to refresh artificial greenery, and a lovely reminder to slow down and enjoy the old-fashioned rituals that make December feel meaningful. There are also some fun finds, classic wardrobe pieces for the season, and an answer to a reader question about keeping the kitchen festive without crowding the counters.
Pour a warm drink, settle in for a moment, and enjoy a little inspiration for creating a home that feels both charming and heartfelt during these December days.

1. FAVORITE STYLING MOMENT: This week’s favorite styling moment is brought to you by my colors of Christmas. Nothing is more simple than filling a bowl with your favorite ornaments and pairing it with an arrangement of beautiful flowers.
2. EASY DECORATING TIP OF THE WEEK: Use ribbon as the decorating thread that ties your Christmas home together by weaving it through your tree, wreaths, and garlands. Repeating the same pattern or color brings a pulled together look that feels classic and intentional.
3. DID YOU KNOW: Did you know that sprinkling a few drops of essential oil on your artificial tree or garland can make it smell fresh again? Peppermint, cedarwood, or fir are perfect seasonal picks.
4. FAVORITE RECENT PURCHASE: I love the beauty, simplicity, and affordability of this dinnerware. I recently purchased two sets to use when entertaining during the holidays. They will mix with any color on my table and are compact enough to fit into very little space. Currently on sale for less than I paid!
5. LOVELY LIVING AND BEYOND: Rediscover the beauty of doing things the old-fashioned way. Set aside one evening this month to wrap gifts by hand with simple paper, pretty ribbon, and soft Christmas music playing. Slowing down to enjoy these small rituals reminds us why the season has always felt so special.

Cut a small slit in each of 16 large Medjool dates and remove the pits, if needed. Stuff each date with 1 whole almond. Wrap each stuffed date with one-half slice thin-cut bacon, securing with a toothpick. Arrange the seam side down on the prepared baking sheet and bake for 15 to 20 minutes, turning halfway through, until the bacon is golden and crisp. Drain briefly on paper towels and serve warm.
10. THE LAST WORD: This week before Christmas is so special. I hope you find moments to slow down, revel in simple joys, and savor the warmth of home, family, and the beauty of the season. Sending love and blessings from our home to yours. xo
ANSWER TO #7: White Christmas is the best-selling Christmas song of all time. Teddy Roosevelt outlawed Christmas trees in the White House because he was a committed environmentalist.
