1. FAVORITE STYLING MOMENT: It’s dreary here for the next few days, so this cozy corner is a favorite this week. The combination of colors and pattern play brightens my day and just makes my heart happy!

2. EASY DECORATING TIP OF THE WEEK:

For a designer-curated look, layer your window treatments by combining woven shades with drapery panels.

Why this works:
Pairing these two elements together creates depth and adds texture, which soften the edges of a room, and gives you better light control. It’s an easy way to make any space feel finished without major effort.

3. DID YOU KNOW: Did you know that if you add a teaspoon of table salt to your laundry, it will help to preserve colors and prevent fading? The chloride in the salt helps to set dye when washing.

4. FAVORITE RECENT PURCHASE: Since downsizing, one of my bedrooms now serves double duty as an office. The bulky office chair my former home office had to go and this new one is the perfect replacement. It is sturdy, comfortable, fits neatly under the desk and is surprisingly affordable – plus it comes in multiple colors.

5. LOVELY LIVING AND BEYOND: It’s hard to radiate graciousness when you’re tired, so getting a good night’s sleep is paramount. Set the perfect stage for a sweet night of slumber by making your bed every day. You just might be surprised at the benefits listed in this article.

6. READER QUESTION OF THE WEEK: “My house feels flat and builder-basic. What’s the best way to add character without remodeling?” See #10 for the answer!

7. WEEKLY AWESOME FINDS: This week I’m sharing some of my most loved recent purchases for our home.

8. WEARABLE STYLE:

9. HOME HACK: Tired of constantly refilling the soap pump mounted at your sink? Unscrew the bottle under the sink, then run a long plastic tube from the soap pump into an extra-large bottle of dish soap.

10. ANSWER TO READER QUESTION (#5): You don’t need to add moulding or do a major renovation to create a home with charm. It can all be done with the way you decorate. Start by layering in texture — think baskets, wood tones, and soft textiles. Mix in vintage or thrifted pieces with new ones for that collected-over-time feel. Even swapping out light fixtures, art, or mirrors can give a room instant personality.

2. COZY TIP OF THE WEEK: Display digital art on your smart television when you’re not using it. It’s an easy way to make your living room feel more styled and cozy, especially during the holiday season. You can find TV art that’s free on YouTube.

3. LITTLE THINGS I’M LOVING:

4. FROM MY KITCHEN TO YOURS: If you love the nostalgia of green bean casserole at Thanksgiving but want to step it up a notch, you’ll love my Not Your Mom’s Green Bean Casserole recipe. It’s an upgrade from the old-school version with fresh haricot verts and cheddar cheese.

5. UPDATING MY WARDROBE:

  • I can never resist a sweater with a puff sleeve.
  • And of course I saw this puff sleeve sweater and had to buy it too.
  • This flannel vest looks so cute with a pair of skinny jeans and tall boots.
  • Literally OBSESSED with the print and coziness of this cardigan.

6. MAKE THIS WITH ME: pumpkin floral arrangement at the center of a fall table will truly wow your guests. Simply hollow out a pumpkin, tuck a small vase or floral foam inside, and fill it with a mix of flowers and greenery like mums, roses, and eucalyptus.

7. OVER ON THE ‘GRAM: I still had a summer wreath hanging on our backdoor so I thought it was probably time for a change. I shared a reel of the prettiest in-between-seasons wreath. It’s a mix of evergreen branches, olive stems, and berries on a grapevine wreath base tied with a tan velvet ribbon.
