Weekly Wednesday Wishlist #223
As with each and every week, this Wishlist is filled with fresh ideas to inspire both your home and lifestyle.
There’s a smart decorating shortcut, a surprising way to make a room feel bigger, and a clever hack for tidier styling. I’m also sharing the latest favorite finds for your home and wardrobe, along with a reader question that might just solve a storage problem that we all seem to struggle with.

1. SEPTEMBER IS APPLE MONTH: Around here, September is all about apples…picking them from our trees, baking them into recipes, and even decorating with them around the house. If you’re craving orchard vibes, I rounded up my favorite apple recipes and decorating ideas.
2. COZY TIP OF THE WEEK: Repurpose tea cups by placing them inside your clear glass baking canisters. It’s a simple way to add charm and personality to something as practical as kitchen storage.

4. FROM MY KITCHEN TO YOURS: My oven baked sweet and salty Chex mix is one of those snacks that disappears the second you set it out. It’s the perfect balance of buttery sweetness and salty crunch that keeps everyone reaching for another handful. Make a big batch before kickoff and it’ll become the MVP of your snack table!
5. THE MISCONCEPTION & THE TRUTH: There’s this misconception that you have to wait until the holidays to buy Christmas decorations, but the truth is, grabbing what you find and love now means you’ll get what you want before the best pieces sell out.
6. OVER ON THE ‘GRAM: Last week I shared a post on cozy and timeless Christmas decor to shop for in 2025. Decor that’s trending now, but will still feel beautiful and classic year after year (because you shouldn’t have to buy new decorations every year). If you’re not on Instagram, you can also view this post on Facebook.

8. MAKE THIS WITH ME: Turn plain pillar candles into something special using nothing more than pretty paper napkins and a little heat. Just trim your napkin to size, separate the layers, and gently melt it onto the candle using an iron. You’ll have a cozy one-of-a-kind candle that looks like something from a boutique that you can gift or style in your home.

10. THE LAST WORD: Please join our StoneGable community on Facebook, Instagram, and Pinterest. There’s so much to share!
ANSWER TO #7: There are approximately 500 seeds in the average pumpkin. The word fall originates from the 16th-century phrase fall of the leaves. Now you know!

1. EASY DECORATING TIP OF THE WEEK: Stumped on what size rug you should buy for a room? Use painter’s tape to mark the perimeter of a rug on your floor. It will help you visualize how different sizes of rugs would really feel in a space. You’ll be able to determine how furniture fits, how much room you’ll have to walk around, and whether it will overwhelm or balance.
2. DID YOU KNOW: Did you know that one of the easiest ways to make a room feel instantly larger is by placing mirror where it will reflect the view from outside? It not only brings in more light, but gives the illusion of an expanded view.
3. FAVORITE RECENT PURCHASE: If you do any entertaining at all, or even if you enjoy cozy nights at home, you will love this. It’s one of those things that makes you go “why didn’t I think of that?”.
4. LOVELY LIVING AND BEYOND: When styling and designing your home, design it for the life that you live, not the life that you think you should live. One of the loveliest, most gracious ways you can live is let your home tell your own story. The balance of function and personal meaning is what makes a home feel genuinely gracious.
5. READER QUESTION OF THE WEEK: Help! I just moved into a house with very limited cabinets, but I love to cook and have lots of pots and pans. Where can I store all of the lids? See #10 for the answer!

8. HOME HACK: Throw blankets can either add-to or take away from a room’s overall look. Folding them in thirds and hanging over the arm or back of furniture looks intentional and not only keeps it from looking tidy, it will keep it from falling in the floor.
9. FAVORITE STYLING MOMENT: It may not look like much and it may seem strange, but my favorite styling moment as of today is the view of our in-the-works banquette that you can see at the top of my post today. I’m waiting on cabinetry and carpentry to complete it, but I’m loving the way that it’s coming together!
10. ANSWER TO READER QUESTION (#5): Lids are one of the trickiest pieces of cookware to store. The key is to look for unused places that you might not otherwise think of. One of my favorite solutions can be found in this post.
