Welcome to this weekโ€™s edition of the Weekly Wednesday Wishlist. As Christmas Eve arrives and the glow of the season settles over our homes, I have been reminded of how much joy can be found in the smallest touches.

As you prepare for the celebrations ahead, I hope this weekโ€™s Wishlist brings a moment of calm and inspiration, and helps your home feel warm, welcoming, and full of Christmas joy.

ANSWER TO #7: Experts say that Santa (St. Nicholas) was born in a Greek town in 270 AD. That makes the jolly old elf 1,754 years old. Experts estimate that almost a billion cookies and 500 million glasses of milk are left out for Santa worldwide.

1. FAVORITE STYLING MOMENT: Most of my Christmas decor is still in boxes after unexpectedly spending the last 10 months selling a house, moving, renovating, unpacking, and settling in. I wasn’t able to much decorating this year, so I’ve been living vicariously through last year’s Christmas decor. Here’s to next year!

2. EASY DECORATING TIP OF THE WEEK: Set out a few small bowls or trays filled with ornaments, fresh greenery, or bells and place them on side tables, nightstands, or bathroom counters to bring Christmas cheer into the overlooked corners of your home. These little touches make the whole house feel festive, even in the quiet places.

3. DID YOU KNOW: Did you know that adding a small piece of chalk to your ornament storage boxes can help absorb moisture and prevent tarnish? Itโ€™s an old decoratorโ€™s trick that really works.

4. FAVORITE RECENT PURCHASE: I never thought you’d convert me from a top-load washer and dryer to a stacked unit, but it was a necessity when we remodeled. I’m happy to report that I’ve been thrilled with the washer/dryer tower that we chose. Hard to believe, but it gets my clothes cleaner than my beloved Whirlpool unit.

5. LOVELY LIVING AND BEYOND: Create a peaceful corner in your home. Light a candle, turn on the tree, and sit quietly for just a few minutes each day. Let the glow settle your spirit before the rest of the world wakes up.

6. READER QUESTION OF THE WEEK: โ€œI love my recliners for comfort, but they arenโ€™t exactly the most stylish pieces. How can I make them look good in my decor?โ€
See #10 for the answer!

9. HOME HACK: Corral cords and chargers in a holiday basket. Guests always need to plug in their phones. Keep a decorative basket filled with labeled chargers and a power strip in the living room or guest room. It keeps things tidy and makes you look extra prepared.

10. ANSWER TO READER QUESTION (#5): The secret is to treat your recliners like any other chair in your roomโ€™s design. Start by adding a throw blanket casually draped over the back or arm, and layer in a decorative pillow that ties in with your color scheme. Anchor your recliner by placing it next to a side table with a lamp, or on a rug that connects it to the rest of your furniture. The goal is to make it feel intentional, not like a stand-alone piece. Comfort and style can absolutely coexist!
