Update your home for fall by adding a few key pieces that bring warmth, texture and seasonal charm to the space. In this fall decor shopping guide, I’m sharing my favorite finds for fall that will instantly make your home feel ready for crisp mornings and cozy evenings.

From classic wreaths and cozy throws to a few beautiful tabletop touches and fall home accents, there is something here for everyone. Whether you’re decorating one room or the whole house, you’ll find plenty of ideas to mix with what you already own for a look you’ll love all season long.

Fall Wreath Favorites

I really enjoy starting at the front door when it comes to decorating for fall with a beautiful fall wreath. Whether you prefer something lush and full or simple and understated, a wreath instantly makes your home feel more welcoming.

I love looking for options with colors that are warm like burnt orange, deep golds, rich burgundy or even in the more neutral shades of cream, tan and muted greens.

Don’t stop at the front door. You can also hang a wreath on your mantel or above artwork for a sweet touch of autumn inside the home, as well. Faux wreaths last year after year, so they are a great investment. There are so many realistic options these days, but here are a few of my favorites.

Fall Pillows

Throw pillows are one of the best and quickest ways to bring in texture and fall color without committing to big changes. You can mix cozy fabrics like wool, faux suede and chenille with classic patterns such as checks, plaids and florals.

I love choosing a simple color palette that I can repeat in every room so it feels collected. Another great tip is to use zippered covers so you can swap looks throughout the seasons and you don’t have to store bulky inserts.

For a styled look, vary sizes and shapes. Start with two 22-inch pillows at the back, layer 20-inch in front, then add a lumbar to finish. Fluff inserts made with down or down alternative so the corners stand up and the cushions look inviting.

Favorite Fall Throws

Draping a soft throw over a sofa, chair, or bench can make a room feel warm and inviting for fall in an instant. I love using chunky knits, brushed cottons and wool blends because they add texture and are cozy for cool evenings. Plaids and herringbone patterns are classic choices for the season, but solid throws in rich colors like goldenrod, rust, or olive green can be just as impactful.

Keep a couple of throws within easy reach in the living room and one at the foot of the bed for an extra layer of comfort as the weather cools off. You can also fold a throw neatly over the arm of a chair for a tidy look or casually drape it across a sofa back for a more relaxed feel.

Fall Tabletop Decor

One of my favorite ways to celebrate the season is to set a pretty table. Whether it’s for a holiday like Thanksgiving, or a simple weeknight dinner, a freshly decorated fall table can warm up your kitchen or dining room.

Start with a base layer like a textured table runner or placemats to anchor the setting. Then mix dinnerware in warm, earthy tones with accents in copper, gold, or matte black for a touch of elegance. Layer in seasonal touches such as small pumpkins, acorns, or faux fall leaves for an easy, festive look.

I love keeping things simple and a centerpiece doesn’t have to be complicated. Thing about grouping candles in various heights, a vase of faux stems or even a low bowl with some fruit to make a big impact.

Fall Home Accents

I’ve always felt like small seasonal accents are the easiest to sprinkle throughout your home without overwhelming the space. A few faux pumpkins are a great choice and the options are endless. They come in fabric, wood, ceramic, and glass. You can mix different sizes, colors and textures to create a collected look.

These type of little touches can really help to tie the season together from room to room. Group accents in odd numbers on a tray for an instant, pulled together look. You also can use other home accents like lanterns, small bowls of acorns tucked onto shelves, coffee tables and kitchen counters.

Bringing fall into your home doesn’t have to mean starting from scratch. A few well-chosen pieces can completely change the feel of a space and make it warm, welcoming, and ready for the season.

Whether you add a statement wreath, layer in cozy textiles, dress up your table, or sprinkle in charming accents, these small updates will carry you through the season in style. Pick your favorites, mix them with what you already have, and enjoy the cozy atmosphere that only fall decor can bring.
