You may think it’s a bit too early to start your Christmas decorating, but it’s never to early to start gathering ideas! Especially, if you have a few challenging areas around your home, such as a small porch.
Each one of these featured porches presented challenges because of their size, but a little outside-of-the box thinking resulted in small porches that are big on Christmas style! Whether you have a big porch, small porch or just a door with no porch at all, you’ll be inspired by these ideas.
If your porch isn’t very wide, try flanking your front door with pencil trees in narrow urns. It there isn’t room for two urns, one will do!
Is there anything prettier or more welcoming than a red front door? It will make your small porch pop and automatically looks festive at Christmas!
If you have room for a small chest or table, it’s the perfect spot to add a few special touches.
If your porch is so small that it doesn’t have much floor space, go vertical with an old door turned into a chalkboard.
Another option for going vertical – an old screen or window. Such a pretty place to display a wreath.
Add interest to an old window frame by topping it with a diy star made from scrap wood.
Add a blanket, scarf or piece of Christmas’y fabric if you have even the smallest of chairs or benches on your porch.
Even a small stoop is made festive with greenery and two small urns.
It’s easy to tuck a small container filled with greenery and Christmas ornaments into an empty spot.
Christmas decorations don’t have to actually be on the porch. Consider adding decorations leading up to your small porch instead of actually on it.
Don’t forget about your back porch too! Screen porches and decks make great spots for adding holiday cheer.
Last year, I went all out with the decorating on my front porch!
