You may think it’s a bit too early to start your Christmas decorating, but it’s never to early to start gathering ideas!  Especially, if you have a few challenging areas around your home, such as a small porch.

Each one of these featured small porches presented challenges because of their size, but a little outside-of-the box thinking resulted in small porches that are big on Christmas style!  Whether you have a big porch, small porch or just a door with no porch at all, you’ll be inspired by these holiday styling ideas.

If your porch isn’t very wide, try flanking your front door with pencil trees in narrow urns.  It there isn’t room for two urns, one will do!

If your porch is so small that it doesn’t have much floor space, go vertical with an old door turned into a chalkboard.

  7. Hi Suzy, thanks for these ideas! My porch is really just a small step that is also blocked by a metal door frame. After the holidays, that is my #1 thing I’m changing about my entry. Until then, I am planning to have a small planter with greens and a lantern I think. Awesome ideas for inspiration!

  8. Love it all! Many great ideas from which to draw inspiration!!

  9. I love all of these porches. I was recently shopping and I was looking at Christmas pillows, not knowing where I would out them. Your post made me realize I have two chairs on my front porch that would be perfect for those pillows. I had only been thinking of where to put them inside!

  15. Such pretty porches! They inspire me to get busy and do something with mine. Merry Christmas!

  16. All of these porches are bigger than mine lol. My porch is also hidden by two metal columns, so really all you see is a little bit of concrete and the front door. I tried putting garland around the front door last year but it got in the way of using the door as a door. We couldn’t open and shut it without garland getting in the way. So that came down after a few days. Then i tried wrapping the metal columns in garland but the wind took care of those, they were either in my yard or fallen in a pile at the bottom. Not sure how to keep that from falling. I need help! 😂
